Business Licensing Service now supports both city and county business registrations
OLYMPIA, Wash., March 28, 2023 – The Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS) today welcomes Franklin County to its local government licensing support system. BLS is the state’s premier licensing one-stop solution that connects businesses to hundreds of state registrations, such as liquor licenses and teen worker permits.
Franklin County is now an active partner in the same system serving dozens of cities and towns throughout the Columbia Basin. The enhanced service will help regional businesses by linking to the common application and renewal process used by Tri-Cities BLS partners Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland.
Other new local licensing partners include Asotin County, southeast Washington, and the city of Newport in northeast Washington, which will join BLS this spring.
Find a complete list of municipal partners on the local license endorsements page.
