Arlington is 182nd local partner and 16th in the county
OLYMPIA, Wash. – Sept. 23, 2021 – The city of Arlington today joins 15 other communities as a partner of the Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS). Arlington is BLS’s 16th and final local partner in Snohomish County, which is home to 800,000 residents, and a workforce of more than 400,000 supporting more than 20,000 businesses.
Founded in 1903, Arlington’s footprint has grown four-fold over the past 20 years with annexation and commercial development adjacent to thriving enterprises in the city of Marysville and on Tulalip tribal properties.
BLS streamlines application and renewal processes for hundreds of different state and local licenses using the same secure portal that facilitates state tax reporting. The service makes it easier for businesses to apply for and renew business licenses and endorsements, while it saves money and time for municipal government.
BLS offers free local licensing administration support to about 180 Washington cities and towns. Find the list of all BLS partners on the City license endorsements page.
