OLYMPIA, Wash. – Nov. 19, 2020 – The city of Colville will join the state Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS) today to improve its business service to local enterprise in the city of 5,000 residents.
Founded in 1890, Colville is the seat of Stevens County in northeast Washington state. Like many other cities in the upper Columbia Region, agriculture, timber, mining and manufacturing have been key economic drivers over the decades in Colville. Tourism has grown with abundant outdoor activities available in the Colville National Forest, which has its U.S. Forest Service headquarters in the city of Colville.
BLS connects local business licensing programs to the state’s premier solution, which allows businesses to register for and renew state and local licenses in one convenient process.
BLS works for nearly 150 communities statewide with another 40 communities connecting over the next year. A list of present partner cities is available on the city license endorsements page.
