Revenue adds Castle Rock to state licensing solution

OLYMPIA, WASH. – May 9, 2019 – Today, Castle Rock becomes the third Cowlitz County city to join the state’s Business Licensing Service (BLS).

Managed by the Department of Revenue, BLS offers a unique technology solution that connects state and local licensing to streamline applications and renewals for Washington businesses. Find out more at http://bls.dor.wa.gov.

Castle Rock is home to about 200 businesses, many of which work in other area cities like Longview and Kelso, which are also BLS city partners. The final incorporated city in Cowlitz County – Kalama – will join the combined licensing service next year.

With BLS, Cowlitz County businesses can update required business licenses at the same time they add a liquor license, a minor work permit or any of the hundreds of required state and local licenses.
