Partnership will support city’s thriving local enterprise
OLYMPIA, WASH. – Jan. 2, 2018 – Today, the Department of Revenue announced that Walla Walla is the newest local partner to join the Business Licensing Service.
BLS gives the local business community a boost by simplifying license application, renewal, and payment processes.
BLS is a clearinghouse that offers about 400 licenses, registrations and endorsements from state agency programs and more than 70 partner cities across the state. Through BLS, Walla Walla businesses connect local and state registration requirements, such as minor work permits, winery licenses, and various transportation business registrations.
The Department of Revenue manages one of the few systems nationwide allowing businesses to simultaneously register with state agencies and cities in a single transaction.
Walla Walla has more than 3,000 active businesses that now have the advantage of renewing state-issued registrations with their city license in a streamlined online process. See more at http://bls.dor.wa.gov, including a complete list of partner cities.
