Pasco joins state combined licensing service

State’s combined business licensing solution connects Tri-Cities area

OLYMPIA, WASH. – Jan. 18, 2018 – Today, the Department of Revenue announced that Pasco, the eastern tip of the Tri-Cities triangle, is the newest local partner to join the Business Licensing Service (BLS).

Pasco now joins its Tri-Cities’ peers, Kennewick and Richland, as a partner in BLS, which gives the local business community a boost by simplifying license application, renewal and payment processes. Pasco is the 74th city to add the state’s unique service.

BLS is a clearinghouse that offers about 400 licenses, registrations and endorsements from state agency programs and partner cities across the state. Through BLS, Pasco businesses connect local and state registration requirements, such as minor work permits, winery licenses, and various transportation business registrations.

The Department of Revenue manages one of the few systems nationwide allowing businesses to simultaneously register with state agencies and cities in a single transaction.

Thousands of business owners in the Tri-Cities area now have the advantages of renewing state-issued registrations with their city license in a streamlined online process. See more at http://bls.dor.wa.gov, including a complete list of partner cities.
